Dakota Johnson is figuring out what it means to be single. After all, after splitting from Chris Martin, the Materialists actress has been traveling over Europe with Kate Hudson.
The two were seen dining in Rome on June 28 with Dakota's agent, Maha Dakhil, and businessman Douglas Chabbott. At one point in the evening, Ricky Martin, who was eating at another restaurant, came in to say hi.
The daughters of lifelong friends Goldie Hawn and Melanie Griffith, respectively, Dakota and Kate, took a trip off the coast of Ibiza, Spain, three days later. According to pictures released by People, they spent the day swimming fearlessly in the water, relaxing on a big white raft with a friend, and soaking up the sun in their bikinis.
The girls' trip takes place only a few weeks after several media sites revealed that Dakota and Chris had ended their nearly eight-year romance. Furthermore, although the news was unexpected because the pair had just been seen together on a yoga date, they had been the subject of split rumors months prior, which were eventually denied by representatives at the time.
Chris and Dakota have not discussed their split in public. However, considering that the ex-couple has always kept quiet about their affair, the radio silence is not shocking. Indeed, they have never discussed how Chris has children with his ex-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow, including Apple Martin, 21, and Moses Martin, 19.
Additionally, the pair, who both have demanding job schedules, made a conscious decision to keep their love relationship out of the spotlight.
In December 2021, Dakota said to Elle, "We've been together for a while, and we go out sometimes." "But we both work so much that it’s nice to be at home and be cozy and private."
