Jessie J, the 37-year-old British pop star known for hits like "Price Tag" and "Domino," has opened up about undergoing surgery for breast cancer in a candid and emotionally raw Instagram post on June 23, 2025. Just weeks after publicly revealing her diagnosis, the singer shared an update detailing the emotional and physical toll of the past 48 hours.

In her post, Jessie wrote, "This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours. I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through." She included photos from the hospital, some showing her surgical markings, others with her resting post-op, and heartfelt images of her with partner Chanan Safir Colman and their two-year-old son, Sky.

The surgery follows her June 3 announcement in which she informed fans of her early-stage breast cancer diagnosis. "Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word early," she emphasized, stressing the importance of catching the disease in its initial stages. Since then, Jessie has leaned on her community, including her fans, family, and medical team, thanking them for their support.

At her final show before the operation on June 16 at Wembley Stadium, Jessie choked back tears onstage as she told the crowd, "This is my last show before I go to beat breast cancer!" According to the Daily Mail, she also expressed gratitude for her life, her son, and her career, describing the moment as "so special."

Returning to social media after surgery, the singer reflected on the emotional rollercoaster she's been navigating. "It's key to acknowledge fear, anger, sadness, panic, overwhelm and let it come up and come out," she wrote. "Holding it in won't make it go away." She added that moments of emotional breakdown are not signs of weakness but necessary release. "So I will cry, I will be scared, I will panic... and then go and be a mum, and go to work, and show up."

She then concluded by embracing all the complexity of her reality, saying: "I will not ignore the 10% that is fear and sadness." As she awaits further results, Jessie J remains a powerful example of strength wrapped in vulnerability, candidly facing cancer while holding space for both hope and fear.
