Kim Kardashian has marked her daughter North West's 12th birthday with an emotional tribute and a series of never-before-seen photos shared on Instagram. North, the eldest child of Kim and her ex-husband Kanye West, turned 12 on June 15, 2024.
In a touching post, Kim reflected on North's childhood, sharing several images ranging from babyhood to her early years. The photo collection included moments of a sleeping toddler, playful snapshots, North experimenting with musical instruments, and a final shot of hands wearing rings spelling out "North West."
"My little baby North turns 12 years old today," Kim captioned the post. "We were looking at pics today together and laughing so hard, you were so small. It's been the most special calling being your mom. I love you forever and got you forever my bubs."
The post attracted warm responses from celebrities and fans alike. Katy Perry commented, "Make time slow down!!!" while Kimora Lee Simmons added, "Hbd Northie! We love you!" Serena Williams responded with heart-eye emojis.
North's grandmother Kris Jenner also joined in with a heartfelt message shared via her Instagram Stories. She posted several family photos, including matching pyjamas and themed costumes, and wrote, "Happy birthday to my beautiful, kind, funny, talented, and wildly creative granddaughter North West!!!"
Kris praised North's individuality, writing, "From the moment you were born, you've marched to the beat of your own drum... fearless and with such a love for life." As North steps into her teenage years, she is already following her parents' creative paths. She recently featured in FKA Twigs' music video "Childlike Things," where she performed a verse in fluent Japanese while wearing a white faux fur coat and oversized accessories.
Earlier this year, Kim and North spent a day together at the Purelux Scalp Spa in matching pink-and-white pyjamas before visiting a rage room and dining at The Boiling Crab, moments Kim documented online.
Despite public attention surrounding Kim and Kanye's co-parenting relationship, the birthday tributes reflect a strong bond between mother and daughter, with Kim proudly declaring, "It's been the most special calling being your mom."
