Diddy's own assistant and a former makeup artist also offered emotional testimonies. Despite pleading not guilty, Combs remains held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian stated on June 10 that the trial could conclude before July 4.
In a symbolic show of unity, six of Diddy's seven children—including Christian and Justin—attended the trial's opening statements on May 12. His mother, Janice Combs, was also present. The family had earlier issued a joint statement in October 2024. "Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives," it read. "We stand united, supporting you every step of the way... Nothing will break the strength of our family."
Public reactions have been polarized. Judge Greg Mathis commented recently, "You should be there to comfort him, not defend him... I would condemn him in private and support him in public." His words underscored a broader question of loyalty amid scandal.
