Sabrina Carpenter believes that all comments regarding her relationship status are pointless or, at the very least, foolish.

The "Manchild" singer subtly hinted at her relationship status six months after it was reported that she and Barry Keoghan had split up.

In a June 12 interview with Rolling Stone, she rhetorically questioned, "Am I doing the single thing right now?" "I'm currently acting like a 25-year-old, whatever that means."

Carpenter, who turned 26 last month, also talked about how her relationships have influenced her career, though she refrained from naming any men with thick accents or white jackets.

"That didn't happen then," you say. That was the case back then. Regarding her response to internet rumors, she clarified, "You're missing a few important details there." "People don't realize how difficult it is to be a young woman, be in relationships, and then have a bunch of strangers judge you."

The Grammy winner, who called herself "immune and numb" to remarks about her relationship, did, in fact, go on to say that she was proud of herself for navigating the negative effects of celebrity.

"I don't think any of these commenters would be as articulate as me if they had the same scrutiny on their personal lives," she suggested. "I am aware that it is an old story. It's simply regrettable that it's still a tale.”

Naturally, her one-year relationship with Keoghan is by no means her first high-profile relationship. The lyrics of Olivia Rodrigo's 2021 breakthrough single, "Driver's License," which mention a "blonde girl," seemed to hint at a romantic triangle involving her, Sabrina, and Joshua Bassett.

In "Skin," a song she released a few weeks later, Sabrina subtly addressed the eyebrow-raising lyric, singing, "Maybe blonde was the only rhyme."

And why did she feel compelled to answer? She told Rolling Stone, "I didn't really intend to do that." "I learned during that time to simply have faith in myself, that everything will turn out as it should, and that relationships are put in place to cometo your life for a reason. You might not see that in the moment, but you see it later.”

Rest assured, Sabrina is no longer thinking about all that nonsense.

“I don’t think about it, ever,” she said of the Disney star love triangle. “I’ve tried being brunette, and it didn’t look good on me, so this is what it is.”
