Kourtney Kardashian is defying convention. The Kardashians star recently opened up about how she responds when her kids are sick.

During the May 21 episode of her sister Khloe Kardashian's podcast, Khloe in Wonderland, she stated, "I believe living authentically is not conforming, to whatever it is." "Instead of giving my children Tylenol or ibuprofen, I would prefer to nurse their fever." That's all I want to do.

The way their family has operated over the years was the reason she wanted to challenge the status quo.

After beginning treatment, Kourtney said, "I kind of started challenging the ways we did things sometimes, the way we all functioned." "I enjoy defying expectations."

In actuality, her unconventional thinking extends beyond her immediate family.

She declared, "I use everything for it." As with the educational system, I'll ask myself, 'Why do kids f--king go to school?' It's really very outdated.

The 46-year-old also mentioned that she frequently receives videos from her children about successful persons who did not attend formal schools.

"So, I'm going to start thinking, what's the objective here?" Kourtney went on to say. Do you want to learn at home? Let's take action.

She and Travis are, after all, learning on the fly.

Regarding her relationship with Travis, Kourtney said, "I love my role as stepmom, because I don't feel like it's up to me to discipline." We'll discuss it, but we've kind of let each other handle the most difficult situations. I certainly strive to be a good role model and offer advise.

"There have been days when I've thought, 'Wow, this is really hard blending families,'" she added. But there is so much more affection, even on the difficult days. It's such a fuller, deeper life.
