Hailey Bieber has broken her silence about the traumatic birth of her son, Jack Blues Bieber. In a candid interview for Vogue's Summer issue, the 28-year-old model described the harrowing experience of an 18-hour labor that left her physically drained and emotionally shaken. Her words provide a rare, unfiltered glimpse into the stark realities of childbirth—even for those who prepare meticulously.

Leading up to delivery, Hailey had invested months preparing her body. "I was doing everything—acupuncture, yoga, pelvic-floor therapy," she said. "I felt stronger than ever." But at 39 weeks, she began leaking amniotic fluid and was quickly induced. Medical intervention followed: Pitocin to stimulate contractions and a Foley balloon to dilate the cervix. "They broke my water. I went into labor. No epidural. Nothing," she recalled. "That s--- was so crazy. That was not fun."

Despite her readiness, labor stretched nearly an entire day. "It was the hardest thing I've ever done," Hailey confessed. The physical toll, however, wasn't the only threat. Following the birth, she suffered a postpartum hemorrhage—a severe and potentially fatal complication. According to the Cleveland Clinic, such hemorrhages account for up to 6% of maternal deaths globally. Hailey admitted the fear was real: "I trust my doctor with my life. But I was bleeding really badly. People die. The thought crosses your mind."

Hailey's postpartum period wasn't just about healing. She also faced relentless public scrutiny. As she navigated motherhood's steep learning curve, rumors of marital strife with Justin Bieber, her husband of nearly six years, flooded social media. "Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I've ever gone through in my life," she said. "To be doing that while going online and reading, 'They're getting divorced,' or 'They're unhappy'—it is such a mindf---."

Physically, she had to adjust to her changing body. "My hips are wider. My boobs are bigger. It's not the same body it was before," she shared. Emotionally, she was discovering a new version of herself—one shaped by resilience, fear, and fierce love.

Hailey's account sheds light on the often-overlooked challenges of childbirth and recovery. Beyond the filtered photos and celebrity glow, her story is a stark reminder of the vulnerability and strength motherhood demands. "It's a crazy life to live," she said. But one she's learning to embrace—with honesty, grace, and grit.
