James Maslow has been upgraded from boyfriend. While on vacation on Italy's Amalfi Coast, the Big Time Rush singer asked his longtime girlfriend, Caitlin Spears, to marry him.
The Nickelodeon alum, wearing a blue suit, proposed to the certified health coach, who was wearing a white, linen maxi dress, on the balcony of the Hotel Cetus.
In a combined Instagram post on May 14, they said, "Forever sounds good with you."
James has also been preparing for this moment for ages.
In a May 14 interview with Us Weekly, he stated, "I wanted this moment to be 100 percent about Caitlin," so I planned a trip to the Amalfi Coast for the two of us, told (nearly) no one, and sought the assistance of a random hotel and a few other Italian strangers to pull off a pretty amazing and romantic moment, if I do say so myself."
Even his fiancée would concur. "It was one of the most spectacular and absolutely amazing experiences of my life. Caitlin shared, "I'm shocked, but he did good, very good!"
Excellent, in fact. Ask his fellow musicians. Kendall Schmidt replied, "Brings tears to my eyes!" while Carlos PenaVega added, "Congrats" with a variety of emojis. I adore you two.
Six years after James and Caitlin's romance went global, they reached this significant relationship milestone. In fact, James posted a touching ode to his spouse in honor of their first anniversary.
In April 2020, he posted an Instagram selfie with Caitlin with the message, "I'm lucky to be stuck with this one during this crazy quarantine time." "We've made it a year, too!"
"Happy anniversary, lovely girl," he said. "Even though most of our adventures will involve taking walks in the backyard and then frantically returning home when we hear a neighbor cough, we're still looking forward to many more."
