Bella Hadid has opened up about her hopes for motherhood and her relationship with Mexican-American cowboy Adan Banuelos, offering rare insights into their romance and how they met. The supermodel, 28, revealed to British Vogue that starting a family is very much on her mind.

"Family is on my mind," Hadid said. "I can't wait to be a mom." While she currently enjoys being an aunt to her sister Gigi Hadid's daughter, Khai, Bella admitted that becoming a dependable presence for someone would be life-changing. "I think that I'm somebody for a lot of people," she explained. "But in the real intimate way of being the person that somebody can count on consistently, that will change my life for me. And I cannot wait."

Bella and Banuelos, 37, were first linked in October 2023, and made their relationship Instagram official on Valentine's Day 2024, with Bella captioning a photo, "My Valentine." They later appeared together publicly at the American Performance Horseman event in March.

Recalling their first meeting in Texas, where her mother Yolanda and stepfather Joseph Jingoli were building a home, Bella shared how their paths crossed while she was navigating personal challenges. "I'm with my stepdad, we move cows, we're on trail rides, and I'm starting to feel a little better," she said. "Then, the next day, I met my boyfriend."

The encounter happened at a horse show exhibit hall. "I saw him walk in and it was like a gust of fresh air," she recalled. "I was getting a cowboy hat fitted. I just saw him and I was like that's the... I always wanted the cowboy." She added, "And he's pretty gorgeous, let me tell you something."

Despite her fame, Banuelos wasn't aware of who she was when they met. "I never knew who you were until I saw your face for the first time," he told her—something Hadid described as "such a breath of fresh air."

She also praised his character and work ethic. "He's the youngest Mexican cowboy to ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame," she noted. "He works for his family, he works for his customers and he works to hopefully build a home and a family one day."
