Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet recently showcased their relationship publicly during the Dec. 10 premiere of A Complete Unknown at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. While Kylie, 27, did not walk the red carpet, she supported Timothée, 28, and joined him at the exclusive afterparty. The couple, known for keeping a low profile, displayed rare affection throughout the night.
An eyewitness described Kylie as seated in Timothée's lap during the afterparty, with her arm around his shoulders. The two shared a quick kiss and were often seen smiling and mingling with guests, including the film's cast. Despite refraining from public displays of affection as the party grew crowded, Kylie frequently touched Timothée during conversations and played with the hem of his jacket. At the end of the night, the couple departed hand-in-hand.
Kylie's mom, Kris Jenner, also attended the event and was described as "so supportive" of her daughter. Kylie has consistently shown support for Timothée's projects, having attended the premieres of his previous films, including Wonka. A source close to Kylie noted, "Everyone loves them together. He's close with her family, and she's close with his family. It's very serious but also a fun relationship."
The pair, who have been dating since April 2023, rarely make public appearances together. They tend to opt for low-key outings, such as dinner dates or movie nights. However, they did attend the 2024 Golden Globes together in January, where they were photographed packing on the PDA inside the awards show.
Kylie has expressed the importance of privacy in her personal life. Speaking to British Vogue in August, she said, "Privacy is so important to me in life. I learned at such a young age how to deal with all of this in the best way for me... so I don't go crazy." Timothée echoed similar sentiments in a 2023 GQ interview, acknowledging the balance between valuing privacy and recognizing public interest in his life: "Sometimes, people are going to be hella confused when you say you're trying to live a private life."
Sources close to the couple have described them as "very much in love" and have "figured out a good balance between working and spending quality time together."
