A court in the US ruled that the United States Tennis Association (USTA) failed to protect her from being sexually assaulted by a coach. Kylie McKenzie, a 25-year-old American tennis player, filed her lawsuit in March 2022 in the US District Court in Orlando, Florida, suing the USTA and USTA Player Development Incorporated while alleging her former coach, Anibal Aranda – who had been employed by the organization at the time – “committed sexual assault and battery” against her.

Emma Raducanu's clay-court form took a dive at the Madrid Open on Wednesday as the Brit exited the tournament after a first-round straight-sets defeat by world No 82 Maria Lourdes Carle.

British Emma Raducanu starts well off at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix campaign in Stuttgart as she wins against fellow Grand Slam champion Angelique Kerber. Raducanu continues her comeback from a double wrist surgery. She has struggled with form and injuries since her fairytale US Open title in 2021. She is ranked 303rd in the world.

Nadal's Madrid Open run ended with an emotional straight-sets defeat to Czech youngster Jiri Lehecka under the roof on Caja Magica.

Nadal was given an emotional send-off in the Spanish capital after losing to Jiri Lehecka in the last 16 of the Masters 1000 tournament.
