Novak Djokovic proved once again why he remains one of the sport's greats, overcoming both a formidable opponent and physical discomfort to secure a spot in Wimbledon's second round. Facing Frenchman Alexandre Muller, Djokovic won in four sets: 6-1, 6-7 (7-9), 6-2, 6-2. Despite dominating early, the Serbian champion experienced a troubling stretch during the third set, later revealing he had been dealing with stomach issues.

The match, played under the iconic Centre Court lights, started as a masterclass from Djokovic. The seven-time Wimbledon champion won six consecutive games in the opening set, showcasing his usual blend of precision and agility. However, by the third set, it was clear something was amiss. His energy dipped, prompting a medical timeout and speculation from the crowd.

Djokovic later explained that he had felt his best for the first set and a half but deteriorated suddenly. Whether it was a stomach bug or something else, the episode tested his resilience. A brief medical break and a tablet seemed to restore his form, and from there, Djokovic regained control, winning 10 of the final 12 games.

Meanwhile, Jannik Sinner, the current world number one, cruised through his match against fellow Italian Luca Nardi, securing a dominant 6-4, 6-3, 6-0 victory. The performance reaffirmed his status as a tournament favorite, especially with Carlos Alcaraz looming as the primary threat. Sinner expressed optimism, reminding fans that each tournament brings new opportunities.

Alexander Zverev, however, suffered a surprise defeat at the hands of Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech. The third seed's exit adds to the growing list of early top-10 upsets, increasing the chances for both Djokovic and Sinner to advance deep into the draw.

Djokovic's next opponent is Britain's Dan Evans, a familiar face on the Wimbledon grass. With 40 wins in his last 42 matches at the All England Club, Djokovic remains a force. Despite recent setbacks, his pursuit of a record 25th Grand Slam title continues undeterred.
