Kelsey Grammer is saying cheers to a new addition. The 70-year-old Frasier alum revealed that his 46-year-old wife, Kayte Walsh, gave birth to their fourth child, a son named Christopher.
"It was like three days ago," Kelsey said to cohosts Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong on their Pod Meets World podcast on October 27. "Christopher's just joined the family."
Additionally, the actor—who and Kayte have children Faith, 12, Gabriel, 10, and James, 8—emphasized that his newborn is joining a large blended family. In the end, Kelsey is also the father of Mason, 23, and Jude, 20, who he shares with his ex Camille Grammer, as well as Spencer, 41, who he shares with his ex Doreen Alderman, and Greer, 33, who he shares with his ex Barrie Buckner.
In his words, "It just became eight kids."
Kayte, who wed Kelsey in 2011, first made her pregnancy public in June when she flaunted her expanding tummy while out in London.
Kelsey, who has previously stated that being a father has been one of the most fulfilling roles he has played in his life, was obviously excited about growing their family.
The Emmy winner said to Variety in 2024, "My children—my young children, my older children—I am the happiest I ever am if they're all in the same room together." "I'm able to do that because of my work." I've had this wonderful experience. It has been difficult, difficult, tragic, painful, and so on. It's a wonderful life, though. And I'd like to pass that on to them.”
In fact, Kelsey has already taught his children some of the lessons he has learned over the years. According to the Cheers star, a number of his children have chosen to follow in their father's footsteps and work in entertainment.
He remarked, "Kayte and I were discussing how a child would truly follow in their father's footsteps." "To think that all of my children are drawn to this industry—at least the ones with a hand in the air are prepared to take charge of their lives." "That's something to be proud of," Kayte remarked.
