The devil truly wore Dolce & Gabbana on Saturday when Meryl Streep stepped into character once again as Miranda Priestly for the highly anticipated sequel to The Devil Wears Prada. Streep took a front-row seat at the designing duo's Milan theater, turning heads in Priestly's signature sunglasses and a Dolce & Gabbana vinyl trench coat, with Stanley Tucci by her side.

Fans of the original film would have felt a rush of nostalgia watching her and Tucci exchange glances as models strutted down the runway to the sounds of Italian singer Patty Pravo. The Dolce & Gabbana press office confirmed the sequence was filmed for the upcoming movie, sending excitement soaring among fashion and cinema lovers alike.

The runway itself echoed themes of nightwear, with rhinestone-embellished pajamas, black lace lingerie, and layered outerwear in leather, brocade, and animal prints. From stiletto heels to fuzzy slippers, every detail reinforced the designers' playful yet luxurious tone. Streep and Tucci were quickly escorted backstage after the show, but not before the audience leapt onto the runway to immortalize the surreal moment.

In a brilliant twist of irony, Vogue's Anna Wintour, who inspired Streep's character, sat directly across the runway. It was art imitating life and then circling back to art again. With the sequel slated for release next spring, anticipation is mounting for what promises to be another cultural phenomenon.
