CANADA GRAPPLES WITH RAGING WILDFIRES AS THOUSANDS FLEE AND STATES OF EMERGENCY DECLARED

Canada is once again at the mercy of nature's fury as out-of-control wildfires rage across its western and central provinces, prompting mass evacuations and an urgent state of emergency in several regions. With over 160 active fires nationwide—about half of which are deemed uncontrollable—the situation has escalated to an alarming level. Environment Canada has designated much of the country, from Quebec to the Northwest Territories, under an "extreme" wildfire risk, the highest possible rating.

TRUMP DELAYS IMPOSING TARIFFS ON EU TO JULY 9

Following a “very nice call” with US President Donald Trump, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen successfully secured a delay in the threatened 50-percent tariffs on the European Union. Trump announced on Sunday that he would postpone the tariffs until July 9, after initially threatening to impose them starting June 1. The EU had requested more time to negotiate, as talks over a 20-percent “reciprocal” tariff had made little progress.
