Super Typhoon Yagi has wreaked havoc across northern Vietnam, leaving a trail of destruction that has claimed the lives of at least 127 people, with 54 others still missing, officials reported. The storm, which hit on Saturday, brought with it heavy rainfall, landslides, and flooding, affecting millions and plunging large parts of the region into chaos.

China’s ambitious “10,000 Villages Project” aimed to bolster its soft power in Africa by providing satellite TV access to over 10,000 remote villages across 23 African countries. Launched nearly a decade ago by Chinese President Xi Jinping, the project was part of China’s broader strategy to strengthen ties with Africa through infrastructure and media initiatives. StarTimes, a major Chinese media company operating in Africa since 2008, was tasked with implementing this project.

In Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district, a wave of wolf attacks has left villagers living in fear. Since mid-April, these attacks have claimed the lives of nine children and one adult, with 34 others injured. Japan claims a Chinese spy plane entered it's territorial airspace amid worsening relations between the two countries. Japan scrambled fighter jets after a Y-9 surveillance plane "violated the territorial airspace" of Danjo Islands for about two minutes at 11:29 local time Monday.
