The 42-year-old actor opened up during a live taping of the SmartLess podcast about his decision to leave Los Angeles three years ago and settle in a small coastal town in San Diego with his wife, Olivia Millar.

Before diving into the conversation, Hill acknowledged his wife in the audience, warmly referring to her as his best friend and expressing appreciation for her support.

He went on to describe their new environment as welcoming and grounded, noting that their neighbors treat him like anyone else and avoid focusing on his Hollywood career.

According to Hill, that sense of normalcy played a major role in his decision to relocate. He shared that he wanted his children to grow up outside the pressures and spotlight often associated with Los Angeles.

The couple, who recently welcomed their second child, have built a life that allows Hill to travel for work while maintaining a stable home base away from the entertainment industry.

Reflecting on his upbringing, Hill recalled that Los Angeles in the 1990s offered a unique blend of creative freedom and cultural exposure. He described being able to explore skateboarding, comedy clubs, and film premieres, all without the influence of the internet.

Despite those fond memories, he emphasized that his priorities have shifted toward family life and privacy.

Hill also revealed in a separate conversation that very little can pull him away from his family, joking that only time in the editing room comes close.

As more entertainers seek quieter lifestyles, Hill's move highlights a growing trend of balancing career demands with personal well being.

Today he says the change has given him clarity and a deeper connection to everyday moments with his children and wife together
