The Los Angeles Galaxy take on the Seattle Sounders this Friday, August 19 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
Matchday 26 of the 2022 MLS season begins with this duel in which the Galaxy will seek to break the streak of nine games without beating the Sounders. The last win was in 2018, a 3-0 led by goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ola Kamara and Emmanuel Boateng.
Los Angeles arrives motivated after beating the Vancouver Whitecaps 5-2 last week, in a duel in which Chicharito Hernández scored his tenth goal of the season, to guide a valuable victory for a place in the playoffs, where Seattle is also in the fight, with 10 games to go.

Possible LA Galaxy vs. Seattle Sounders FC lineups
The possible starting 11 that Galaxy manager Greg Vanney will use to face the Sounders is Jonathan Bond; while in defense he is expected to form a line of four with Sega Coulibaly and Nick DePuy in the center, Julián Araujo at right back and Raheem Edwards on the left; Kevin Cabral, Marco Delgado, Gastón Brugman and Samuel Grandsir will start in the middle; the starting forwards are Javier Hernández and Víctor Vázquez.
Riqui Puig is already available and it will be the coach's decision if he makes his debut this Friday.
For his part, coach Brian Schmetzer will send Stefan Frei in goal for the Sounders, a line of four at the back made up of Alex Roldan, Yeimar Gómez, Xavier Arreaga and Nouhou Tolo. The average is divided into two zones, Danny Leyva and Albert Rusnak in contention, and three offensive midfielders with Cristian Roldan, Nicolás Lodeiro and Jordan Morris, finally,Raúl Ruidíaz as center forward, to seek his sixth goal of the campaign. He hasn't scored since June 15, when he scored a brace in a 4-0 win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
